I spend most of my time by the river looking down at small details, but this is an image about mood. A few clumps of tufted hair grass (Deschampsia cespitosa) defy the sheep; their flowers nod in the breeze. Morning light on the surface of the water glitters, gifts silver. At maximum aperture and minimum focus, grasses, light and water combine to weave a little magic.
